snowtime
ACTUALLY, IT WAS GOOD OVER THE SNOWY WEEKEND NOT TO HEAR THE CONGRESS MEMBERS TAKING GIBES AT EACH OTHER. WELL,THEY WOULDN'T HAVE ACCOMPLISHED ANYTHING IF THEY HAD BEEN IN SESSION. JUST LOOK BACK ON THE LAST YEAR. WHY DON'T THEY GET TOGETEHER AND DO SOMETHING POSITIVE FOR THE COUNTRY. WHO DO THEY THINK THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK FOR? OH YEAH, THE DRUG COMPANIES, OIL COMPANIES,DIFFERENT BUSINESSES ,SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS AND CHAMBERS OF COMMERECE ETC. WELL, PEOPLE, WHEN WILL WE SEE EVIDENCE OF INTEGRITY? DON'T COUNT ON IT. WONDER WHY THIS IS ALL IN CAPITALS? BECAUSE I AM SCREAMING!

talk?
We sure do have a lot of talk going on. But, why? We never get any reliable information from our so -called leaders of the country. There is so much time wasted on both sides of the aisle..Maybe our president and congress should concentrate on really doing something with the trillions of dollars they are borrowing, instead of coming up with so many excuses for not doing anything except wasting time on the health hogwash. Why don't they make plans to rebuild our infrastructure here at home instead of spreading our money in so many other countries around the world? Wouldn't that create some jobs for our ailing economy?
And it would improve the quality of our country at the same time.

What is this big tadoo about a student saying the word God in her speech at school? It is not like she is trying to preach or convert anyone. She was just saying how her faith helped her achieve her goals. It's o.k. to say the F.word any where, but do not say God!
The school system should be more concerned about math. history. civics and how to move ahead in the real world of competition with other countries, and stay out of personal ideas of students and families. In the 1960's when the school introduced sex education and pot smoking it was only a small amount of time before many teenage girls were getting pregnant and pot smoking became very popular. Way to go, schools.

Well, I guess some kind of health bill has passed in the senate. Do you have any idea what is in it? Well, neither does Congress, so what else is new! Every time you hear a comment about it from a senator or representative, there are all kinds of differences in what it really contains, so how will we ever be informed about our future health care? I guess when we go to a doctor . Well, maybe then we will find out if we will be treated for our medical problems, if Congress will allow the procedure or exclude us for their very own reasons. Good Luck!

What does the peace prize really mean? When I was growing up I thought it really meant working towards a better world by trying to promote ways of getting along with the rest of the countries on the planet, and upholding our own principles. It didn't mean going into other countries and causing more battles within their boundaries. These people are responsible for what goes on in their own areas, and if they don't like what their government is doing, then they should take care of their problems themselves, and not ask our citizens to sacrifice their lives and the welfare of their families.
Well, the so-called health debate is still going on, with nothing, as usual, being accomplished. What do you think of the plan to cut back on cancer tests and mamagrams for women? What are you guys thinking of and why aren't our congresswomen speaking out about this? Hey,men, what if the government cut back on your viagra and cialis? Well, if you can't get it up, get out!

thanksgiving
Yesterday was the yearly celebration of being thankful for our blessings. We all have so much in our lives to be grateful for, but we really need to look at these things more often than one day a year. I keep telling myself this almost every day of my life. Now, all I have to do is pay attendtion. Hope it works for you too.
