Today is supposed to be the senate vote on the new health bill. My first question is how can members of congress vote on something they have not even read? Yes, I realize they have done this many times before, and not always with favorable consequences, and that is one of the things that is scary. Why does it take thousands of pages to explain what it is really about? I just heard on the news that views and advice from medical professionals was not even welcomed or used. So, where are they getting their ideas and plans?
Do you really want people who goofed up on information they had for years about the levees off the coast of New Orleans to be involved in your health care? Look back on the devastation that caused a huge number of people who lost their homes and businesses during that tragic time. Much of the damage may have been averted had congress paid attention to the warnings they had received and taken the proper action. Do you have confidence in this group?
This is what is really scary about their plans –cutting back on medicare-social security, and fining people who cannot afford health insurance. If you don’t have enough income to afford insurance how are you going to pay a penalty? Of course, congress does not have to worry about their medical plans. Have you ever had a look at their medical coverage and benefits? I doubt they would want us to have that information, and compare it with what they are trying to do to us.
